coreweekly throws Block Rock ’n’ Beats party to celebrate 1-year anniversary.

MADISON—August 11, 2005—To say thanks to Madison for a great first year, coreweekly holds its Block Rock ’n’ Beats party Sept. 17 (rain date Sept. 18) from noon-8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of East Mifflin just off the Capitol Square. Smart Motors, Scion, Decks and Effects and Café Montmartre sponsor the event to celebrate coreweekly’s 1-year anniversary.

Bands will rock out through the day with performances by Minneapolis’ Bridge Club and Madison favorites The Rob Dz Experience, Transformer Lootbag, Awesome Car Funmaker, The Crest, Droids Attack and If Then Else. DJs Montra & Jeremy Thomas provide the bumping beats for the block party in between band sets.

Four outdoor cafés offer full bar services and plenty of food and product vendors will keep guests full and busy. Additionally, the first 500 people will receive gift bags filled with goodies from local businesses.

Additional vendors are welcome, contact Mike Haight (mhaight@coreweekly.com) for more information.
